Agency Highlights Over the Past Year-
Successful collaboration by AASK staff
and families and county agencies led to another stellar year in
providing permanency for children waiting in the foster care system.
Services to children and families
increased dramatically-70% over the prior year.
AASK staff was responsible for a
104% increase in home studies of families and a 132% increase in the
placement of waiting children over the prior year.

the number of children over the age of three placed into adoptive
homes and also in the number of sibling groups placed together.
This is most welcome news as these children typically wait longer
AASK produced its first annual
adoptive family camp-called Camp ALWAYS-in collaboration with
Stanislaus County. One hundred thirty two campers enjoyed a free
week of education, respite, networking and recreation in a beautiful
Board membership was increased by
66%, bringing added diversity and skills to the Board of Directors.
AASK welcomed many new government,
